spark joy

If you don't know Marie Kondo or the KonMari method by now, you've probably been living under a rock (LOL). She started gaining notoriety back in 2014, when her book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up was released in the U.S. and immediately made it to the New York Times best selling list (it's been there for 144 weeks). As if the book wasn't a huge success on it's own, Kondo debuted her own Netflix show back in January and it took the world by storm.

As I had mentioned in a previous post, that was the book that helped me change my lifestyle and see the advantages of living with less, so when the show came out, I couldn't have been more excited. I took it as an opportunity to finally finish my KonMari journey and tidy up my home. It took me two months, but I finally completed the process and am happy to say that everything I own now brings me joy.

Throughout the next few weeks I'll be sharing my experience and will go over all the steps in the process of making your home spark joy for you. For those interested, I highly recommend reading her first book as well as the illustrated guide. And for extra fun and incentive, binge watch the Netflix show to get instantly inspired by all the transformations.

I'm also very excited to announce that this time next week I will be attending the KonMari consultant certification course in New York! I'll be there for three days for an in-depth training on how to work and help clients, as well as lectures, group discussions and Q&A sessions. I can't wait to get my certification and start this new chapter in my life helping people discover what sparks joy in their life!
